Foster a Dog

Paws for Heroes needs foster families for our candidate dogs in training before the candidates go to "Boot Camp."   Please see our FAQ about Fostering with Paws for Heroes.

Volunteers

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to join our organization to help military members and dogs.

​

In order to volunteer, you must:

 

  • Be over 18 years of age

  • Have regular access to online websites such as "Sign Up Genius" to sign up to volunteer opportunities

  • Have regular access to a personal email address to send and receive information regarding volunteer opportunities

  • Have the ability to send and receive data via text regarding volunteer opportunities

  • Be able to drive (or have a reliable manner of transportation) throughout the Greater Houston area to volunteer

 

Our volunteer opportunities are:

  • Organizing fundraisers

  • Attending fundraisers

  • One Time Dog transport from foster to trainer
