Kip at the end of Tour du Rouge (New Orleans, LA - 2016)
Hello, I’m Kip Othold, a 67 year old USAF Veteran who served during the mid/late 1970s. While I served during the Vietnam War Era, I was never deployed. However, I do have extreme respect and honor for all who have served in the military in this wonderful nation we call Home, the USA.
Commencing April Fool’s Day, I along with 14 others, will bicycle from San Diego’s Pacific shoreline to St. Augustine, Florida’s Atlantic beaches …a 3,100-mile trek spanning 48 days to:
Bring awareness to those patriots who suffer from PTSD.
Interact with Americans along the route to make known vets’ high suicide rate.
Generate funding for veteran relief organizations.
I have vetted and selected Paws for Heroes to be the recipient of all funds generated by my Fundraising. I fully embrace Paws for Heroes and its Mission and will be proud to Ride & Promote this fine organization.
While having cycled only the past six years, I have participated in several long-distance rides, including the MS-150, the Tour du Rouge, and Iowa’s RAGBRAI. But this most definitely will be the Mother Lode, the most arduous.
Please consider sponsoring me in my quest. 100% of all Donations will go to Paws for Heroes!
